Harkla is recalling children's sensory swings with four-hole ceiling hooks because the hook can separate from its plate and cause a fall. CPSC's October 29 notice tells consumers to stop using the recalled swings immediately until they are repaired.

Check the hook and packaging

Only swings with a four-hole hook are included. The recalled compression swings have a blue fabric seat and come with ceiling-mounting hardware and a drop length of 18 to 24 inches.

The product packaging has SKU LS-COMP-1BLU or LS-COMP-1BLU-SW printed on its side. The notice includes product photographs to help consumers identify the covered swings and mounting hardware.

The recall covers about 25,541 swings in the United States. CPSC separately lists about 5,534 sold in Canada; that additional figure is not part of the U.S. count.

A free repair kit, including shipping

Consumers should contact Harkla and register through the recall page listed in CPSC's notice. The free kit includes a replacement ceiling-hook mounting plate, a safety strap and updated installation instructions. Shipping is included.

The notice says consumers should then dispose of the original hooks only in accordance with local waste-management and recycling guidelines. It does not instruct consumers to keep using an affected swing while waiting for the kit.

Harkla can be reached at 844-442-7552, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific time Monday through Friday, or at recall@harkla.co.

Reported injuries and sales

Harkla has received 29 reports of the ceiling hook separating, including 14 injuries that resulted in two concussions, a broken arm, bumps and bruises, according to CPSC. Those figures are the notice's account of reports, rather than injuries independently confirmed for this article.

The swings were sold from March 2020 through December 2025 for between $100 and $130. Listed sellers include Sensory Tool House, Hammer Jacks, Loaded Sensory and Renew (Faire), as well as Amazon.com and Harkla.co. CPSC identifies the importer as Base Products LLC, doing business as Harkla, of Boise, Idaho.
