Ariston recalls NTI and HTP gas boilers after reports of detached covers and an injury
An October 29 recall covers 4,726 NTI and HTP residential gas boilers, plus 2,261 sold in Canada. A cracked internal dish can let gas collect and ignite, potentially detaching the cover. CPSC says to stop using affected boilers and arrange a free repair; people who must continue using one while waiting should have working smoke and carbon-monoxide alarms.
