Two light-up toy lines with button batteries a child can get at, 425,000 of them, lead the CPSC's September 10 recalls. Also recalled: a dresser that fails the tip-over law, gas ranges that can leak, and SHEIN children's loungewear that fails the sleepwear fire standard.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission posted twelve recalls on September 10. The largest by units after a candy recall covered earlier are two sets of children's light-up toys whose button batteries children can reach: Cade California finger lights, about 179,700 sold on Amazon over eleven years, and ZMC Group light-up toys, an expanded recall now totalling about 245,100. Swallowed button batteries can cause internal chemical burns and death. The same day brought FJTJBSI six-drawer dressers that fail the STURDY Act tip-over standard, AGA and La Cornue dual-fuel ranges whose missing test-port cap can leak gas, SHEIN children's loungewear that fails the sleepwear flammability standard, a busy board with lead in its zipper, and hair-dryer brushes with no protection against electrocution in water. One injury and no deaths are reported across the twelve. Every item has a refund, repair or replacement.

Fourteen recalls in one day: five children's toys, seven products sold only online, and one brand of heated blankets with 577 reports of smoking, melting or burning and 53 burn injuries.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission posted 14 recalls on September 17, covering about 660,000 units sold in the United States. Five are children's products with choking or ingestion hazards, including a magnetic toy set that put two children in hospital and a toddler busy board sold on Amazon, about 276,000 of them. Seven were sold only online, five of those only on Amazon. The heaviest injury record is JKMAX heated blankets and heating pads, about 195,000 of them, with 577 reports of overheating and 53 burn injuries. Sauna360 is recalling some of its hybrid saunas a second time because the first repair did not work. No deaths are reported in any of the 14. Each has a remedy, most of them a refund, and this record lists what to do for each.
